Sweet Potato Wedges
Does following the Core Plan leave you yearning for french fries? These Sweet Potato Wedges are a great replacement for traditional fries or starch white potatoes. A perfect side to your summer BBQ favourites, especially a burger, or a nice twist to add to your traditional holiday meals (i.e. Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter). If you or your guests like to dip fries then serve them up with All-Natural BBQ Sauce or Chipotle Mayo.
Sweet Potato Wedges Recipe
- Sweet potato (cut up like french fries)
- Olive Oil (or melted coconut oil)
- Sea Salt (to taste)
If you’re gonna have a little #coreplan #yumyum sweet potato for Thanksgiving, why not have sweet potato fries? We usually bake these as wedges, but when the smoke point of #avocadooil is 520°F, fries it is. I still consider this a vacation meal — but virtually harmless. It’s about as far as I go when it comes to cheating. BTW — look for an article SOON on #sweetpotato vs white potato … the nutritional differences may not be as vast as some would think. #maximizedliving #maxliving #nutrition #paleo #sweetpotatofries #drhardick #nomnomnom
- Place cut sweet potatoes on a baking sheet. Drizzle with oil, add salt, and bake at 350-375 for 20-30 minutes — or however long it takes.
